New Research: Effects of Crayfish Shell Powder and Bamboo-derived Biochar on Pig Manure Composting

author:

We are excited to announce the publication of our latest research paper titled “Effects of crayfish shell powder and bamboo-derived biochar on nitrogen conversion, bacterial community and nitrogen functional genes during pig manure composting”.This collaborative research between IMADEK and Hunan Agricultural University explores sustainable waste management practices.

In this study, we investigated the effects of crayfish shell powder and bamboo-derived biochar on nitrogen conversion, bacterial community, and nitrogen functional genes during pig manure composting. Our findings highlight the significant improvement in nitrogen conversion efficiency and positive effects on bacterial community structure and nitrogen functional gene abundance with the addition of crayfish shell powder and bamboo-derived biochar.

This research contributes to the development of sustainable waste management strategies and underscores our commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship.
